You don’t have to get a job that makes others feel comfortable about what they perceive as your success. You don’t have to explain what you plan to do with your life. You don’t have to justify your education by demonstrating its financial rewards. You don’t have to maintain an impeccable credit score. Anyone who expects you to do any of those things has no sense of history or economics or science or the arts.
You have to pay your own electric bill. You have to be kind. You have to give it all you got. You have to find people who love you truly and love them back with the same truth.
But that’s all.
A daily struggle but a good reminder.

La Roche-Posay

Alright, so here goes: For years, I’ve had problematic skin. I wouldn’t say it is severe but it can be mild. I’ve tried so many products and so many different skin care routines e.g. Proactiv, Clinique, etc. Yet, I still haven’t found one that has stuck out to me as perfect. Fortunately, before I came home from University for the summer, my skin was clearing up and I only had a few blemishes that were pretty unnoticeable. Yet, my mom insisted maybe to try a new product or routine (such as the one above: La Roche Posay Effaclar) just to clear up those last few blemishes so my skin could be totally clear.
Sounds too good to be true right? Well, it was. With this line, I noticed immediate results and my skin appeared to look much better even one day later. However, even though this line says it’s geared towards ‘sensitive skin’, I found that around my lips it was drying out and eventually, I broke out again but with more painful blemishes. As of now, I’ve been using it for a little over a month, and I’ll continue to use it until I run out (probably) but with other variations of other products. Unless there are any sudden developments, I won’t be buying this again because like I said, aside from that immediate result, the blemishes that followed were the most painful and probably one of the worst flare ups I’ve ever had. Additionally, I have been exercising and working out more which does have an impact with the pores but I’ve made sure to wash my face after every session.
If there are any changes in this product, I will update you but until then, I’m still on that search for my ideal skin care routine. Any suggestions are widely appreciated!
